Ranganathan is the co-author of a book – IN-SIGHT – Sankara Nethralaya’s Passion for Compassion – that has the fascinating story of this medical institution woven through the fabric of social enterprises. With a foreword from the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and reviews from Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy of Infosys and the iconic film personality Rajini Kant , the book chronicling the journey of this charitable institution captures the spirit and missionary zeal of Dr.S.S.Badrinath and his dedicated associates and their ceaseless crusade against blindness. The book takes readers through an interesting journey spanning the humble beginning and growth of a world class eye care centre started on a modest rented premise to its present stature as a sprawling State of the Art hospital with several centers within and outside Chennai. The entire surplus on the sale of this book will go to support the free medical facilities provided by this eye hospital to countless patients from weaker economic sections of people across the country.
