About VVR

V.V.Ranganathan (Alias Ranga and some people refer to him as VVR too) was a Senior Partner with one of the big four professional accounting firms in the world. He served the firm in India for about 10 years in various capacities. During these 10 years, Ranga closely participated in the manifold growth of the Firm.  His own portfolio of clients included some of the very large and prestigious Fortune 500 companies..

Ranga, also served the global firm for several years in their overseas office.  He also worked in S. Africa for many years. He co-founded and was a senior partner of a closely held professional services firm which later became a member firm of Moores Rowland International.

Ranga has contributed significantly to the study and research on the subject of entrepreneurship He has published extensively on the subject.. Please see section on Entrepreneurship .

Ranga is now associated with a number of social projects driven by social entrepreneurs. He is the Co-Founder & Chairman of Pinnacle Opportunities. (www.pinnacle-opportunities.org) Pinnacle Opportunities works at both ends of the spectrum of social change supporting select social entrepreneurs to significantly improve their capacity and gain accreditation to deliver more and it assists corporate entities to calibrate their social responsibility programs (CSR) to sustain and enhance the impact of performing social entrepreneurs. Please see section on CSR Programs. He is Co-Founder & Director of RuralShores, a venture that fosters economic activities in rural India. He is also on the advisory and governing board of some prestigious foundations such as The Bharti Foundation (Airtel).

Ranga is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of a product ideation & innovation company based out of Bangalore (www.compassites.net) . This venture supports the aspirations of young entreprenuers. He currently directs Compassite’s foray into a suite of governance solutions in convergence of the GRC space called What is really going on TM.

Ranga was one of the 31 leaders selected from 15 countries around the globe for sharing his experience and perspective along with STEPHEN R COVEY, Co-founder and Vice Chairman, FranklinCovey Co., USA, RAMON OLLÉ, President, Epson Europe .BV, The Netherlands RICARDO LEVY, Co-founder and Chairman, Catalytica, Inc., USA , for a book entitled Leading with Wisdom.
